Our modern resin and fiberglass sculptures are entirely handmade and involve several steps. In the initial phase, our designers create sketches of the works on paper, then the sculptors shape the models by hand in clay, also known as “souls”, which are prerequisites for the creation of rubber molds.
The resin is added to a hardening liquid and manually poured into the molds, then it is left to harden. Once the resin has hardened, the molds are opened and the rough statues are extracted. This is followed by another phase which includes cleaning the sculptures from any residues of the processing, repairing and hand polishing them. Once the fibreglass sculptures have been hand-washed to ensure a perfect surface, we move on to the decoration process using a thick paint called “primer”, which provides an ideal base for the final decoration. This will take into account the desired final effect, whether it be matte, smooth, metallic or lacquered.
